Roaccutane has been produced by ROCHE for violent intractable noduler acne. Its active ingredient is Isotretinoin. When antibiotics do not become effective in the treatment of acne, Roaccutane helps to this acne treatment. It is from the calss of retinoids. Retinoids look like vitamin A. Isotretinoin that is taken by mouth, reduces the production of sebum (the skin natural oil), so it cures acne problem. Generally a lot of products are used for the tretament of acne but Roaccutane is the most effective product for more intense situations. Some people use other products for acne, but they are not successful, in this point Roaccutane is the best medicine for them. Roaccutane is also effective in the formation of blackheads or whiteheads. The size of the sebaceous glands and the inflammation happen with acne and these sebaceous glands increase the amount of oil in the skin. Roaccutane overcomes these problems.
When using Roaccutane, at the beginning of treatment your skin can get worse but this is not a permanent situation, during the treatment it gets better in 7 to 10 days. But you must stay away from UV lights while taking Roaccutane. For protection of sun, you should use a sun cream of 15 protection factor that is the minimum factor. In the use of Isotretinoin, the skin becomes more fragile or sensitive. This drug is used generally in adolescence by teens but it blocks the bone growth in a very short time. Also for pregnant women it is very dangerous product, it creats serious problems like major malformations of a developing foetus (serious birth faiulers). If you use Roaccutane should not make a blood donation and also after the end of drug at least 1 month you should not donate.
Its usage is related to the body weight, 0.5 to 2 mg per kg is suitable daily. The usage duration is 15-20 weeks in two divided doses. It is important to use with food because it is supplied its absorption easily. You should take dosages that your doctor has determined.
SIDE EFFECTS
Hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, depressed mood, trouble concentrating, sleep problems, crying spells, aggression or agitation, changes in behavior, hallucinations, thoughts of suicide or hurting yourself, sudden numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body, hearing problems, hearing loss, or ringing in your ears, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms, purple spots under your skin, easy bruising or bleeding, blurred vision, sudden and severe headache or pain behind your eyes, sometimes with vomiting, joint pain, back pain, dryness of the lips, mouth, nose, or skin, cracking or peeling skin, itching, rash, changes in your fingernails or toenails.
